She was a native of Norfolk and operated the florist business 20 years. she also was a former nurse of the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Norfolk. She was a member of Fourth Baptist Church, St. Mark Eastern Star Chapter 62, Elmi Elizabeth Tents 364, Independent Daughters of Norfolk 1, and International Longshoreman Ladies Auxiliary 37. Survivor include a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Stewart of Norfolk four sons, Eugene K. Wilson, Claudious Wilson, and David Alexander of Norfolk, and Willie Alexander Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Belver Veal of Norfolk; two brothers, Russell Washington of Norfolk and Garfield M. Brock of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Fourth Baptist church, Portsmouth, by Dr. S. L. Scott Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, with Metropolitan Funeral Home, Norfolk, in charge. The body will be in church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
