He was the son of the late Moran and Mrs. Roseanna Alexander. A native of Behaven, N.C., he had lived in Norfolk 24 years. He was a Civil Service employe at the Naval Base here for 18 years. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the New Calvary Baptist Church where he formerly served on the usher board. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Alexander, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Estelle Saunders of Surry and one sister, Mrs. Georgianna Hargrave of Larence, Pa. The body was taken to the Hale Funeral Home.
