Alexander - The body of Captain James M. Alexander, who disap disappeared Saturday, March 1, was found early yesterday morning floating in Mahon Mahone's Lake near the center of the Holt Street bridge. . . . [The body] was taken to the temporary morgue at Morris' undertaking est establishment, where Coroner Batts decided that death resulted from accidental dro drowning and an inquest was unnecessary. Later it was taken to Oliver's und undertaking establishment from which place the funeral took place a 5 o'clock yes yesterday afternoon. Captain Alexander resided at 509 E Brambleton Avenue and leaves a wife and five ch children. The last seen of him alive was on E Main Street late the Saturday af afternoon he disappeared. It is supposed he tried to cross the causeway over th the canal and missed his footing. . . . Captain Alexander was a brother of Captain Walter A. Alexander, of the tug Pocahontas, and was himself in command of the tug Lumberman. He was a man of about 45 years of age.
