Alexander, the yard conductor of the Norfolk and Western Railroad. While making up a train Mr. Alexander was mashed between two freight cars to such an extent that death ensued in a few hours. The deceased was a native of Pennsylvania, who, while residing in Lynchburg, married the second daughter of Mr. W.C. Mays of that city. At the time of his death Mr. Alexander resided on Reservoir Avenue, Brambleton and leaves a father, mother and his young wife and two children, one of the children only 10 days old. Mr. Alexander was 32 years old and an exemplary young man. The funeral will take place at 3 p.m. today from the residence. Mr. Alexander's father was taken very sick Monday. Within the past six months three persons residing on the block upon which Mr. Alexander lived have been killed by accident on the Norfolk and Western Railroad.
