Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 9, 1928

Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Alexander, aged 60, wife of Henry Clay Alexander, died 
yesterday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock at the residence, No. 3 Glenarm Apartments, 
3615 Granby Street. She was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. and had been a resident 
of Norfolk for a number of years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Helen Marguerite 
Alexander and a son, Vincent T. Alexander, of Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. John 
Quigley, Mrs. Cornick Flannagan, Mrs. Thomas Tulley, Mrs. Morris Ephraim and 
Mrs. Josephine Mindenter, and a brother, Martin Hickman, all of New York. 
Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Saturday 
morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

MRS. KATHERINE ELIZABETH ALEXANDER - Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander were 
held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the 
Rev. Leo J. Ryan, pastor, officiating.  The Rev. Edward L. Stephens was present.  
During the service, Mrs. Frank McLaughlin and Mrs. Frank Hutchins sang "Nearer 
My God To Thee," with John Doran at the organ.  The casket was covered with a 
pall of pink roses and ferns.  Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The 
pallbearers were T. S. Fitzgibbons, Hamilton Plack, F. B. Parrott, Charles R. 
Dalton, Edward Walton, 2d, William J. Jones, Robert Ridley and W. L. Coggswell.
