Mrs. Alfonso, who was in the eighty-fifth year of her age, was the widow of Manuel Alfonso and was a native of Italy, though for forty-two years a resident of Norfolk, where she was widely known and highly esteemed. She is survived by four daughters, and a number of grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her daughters, are Mrs. Theresa Lazzari, Mrs. Joseph Freitas, Mrs. Frank Santos and Mrs. C. Fernandez, all of this city. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Father Kelliher in St. Mary's Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
