Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - May 28, 2009
VIRGINIA BEACH - Jean R. Allegood, 80, of the 5400 block of N. Sunland Drive, 
went to be with the Lord May 26, 2009. A native of South Norfolk, she was the 
daughter of the late Caryle B. and Annie Stotz Robinson, and the retired office 
manager for Simmons Heating and Cooling. She was also a member of Avalon Church 
of Christ.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memory her 
husband of 59 years, Marvin K. Allegood; two sons, David K. Allegood and his 
wife Geralyn and Bradley C. Allegood and his wife Kathleen; six grandchildren, 
Christina Warren and her husband Woody, Beau G. Allegood, Kyle K. Allegood and 
his wife Laura, Michelle F. Allegood and her son Evan, Jason C. Allegood, and 
Daniel K. Allegood; a sister, Anne R. Jolly and her husband Donald; an aunt, 
Pearle Robinson; a niece, Shelly Long and her husband Alan and their children, 
Bryce Long and Megan Dalton and her husband Randy and their daughter, Elleanna.
A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Avalon Church of Christ, 844 
Woodstock Road, Virginia Beach, with Pastor James A. Bennett officiating. Burial 
will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Graham 
Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Please share a memory
