Private rites held for Lucy Q. Allen
Private funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. today at All Saints’ 
Episcopal Church in Carmel for Mrs. Lucy Quinby Allen, 62, who died here 
yesterday.
Mrs. Allen, the wife of Capt. Archer M. R. Allen, USN (retired), died at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Y. Allen Jr., of 655 Embarcadero Rd., yesterday 
morning. She had been spending the holidays with her daughter when she was 
stricken. The family home is in Carmel.
In addition to her husband and her daughter, Mrs. Allen is survived by three 
grandchildren and a brother, Capt. C. F. M. S. Quinby of Germany. She was born 
in Norfolk, Va.
