Virginian-Pilot May 25, 1930
ALLEN, RANSON PROSE - At his residence, 135 Marshall avenue, Friday evening, May 
23, 1930, at 10:12 o’clock, RANSON PROSE ALLEN, beloved husband of Mrs. Ella H. 
Allen and son of the late Harvey and Mrs. Amanda C. Allen, aged 57 years.
Remains were taken to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne 
road, corner Moran avenue, to his residence for funeral services from the 
Christian Temple THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON, May 25, at 3:30 o’clock. Friends of the 
family are invited to attend. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery.
