VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Thelma Carey Allen, 59, of 2926 S. Kings Road, Chesopeian 
Colony, died Wednesday in a hospital after a short illness.
A lifelong resident of Princess Anne County and Virginia Beach, she was a 
daughter of the late Arthur B. and Mrs. May Whitehurst Carey and the wife of W. 
B. Allen.
She was a member of Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church.
Besides her husband, surviving are a son, W. B. Allen Jr., and two daughters, 
Mrs. William L. Miller and Miss Martha Shield Allen, all of Virginia Beach; and 
two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Maestas Funeral Home 
by the Rev. John W. Dozier of Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
