Norfolk Journal and Guide, Nov 21,1942
The funeral of Miss Miriam Allen, age 21, of 2578 Ludlow street, who died 
November 10 at a local hospital, were held November 15, at the St. John AME 
Zion Church, with the Rev. H. M. Shields officiating.  Interment was made in 
Calvary Cemetery.  She was born in Norfolk, and is survived by a brother, 
three sisters, and father.
