Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 7, 1949
Mrs. Edith Louise Overman Allen, 40, daughter of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wilber 
Overman and the late George W.P. Overman, died at her residence at Quincy, Pa., 
yesterday at 4 a.m.  Besides her mother, she is survived by a son, Gerald Leigh 
Allen, of Quincy, a sister, Mrs. W.R. Keeter and a brother, George W. Overman, 
both of Norfolk.  
Mrs Allen was a native of Norfolk and had been a resident of Quincy for the past 
year.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 
2 p.m.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
