Allen, aged 64, son of the late W.F. and Margaret Griffin Allen, died at 3:40 o'clock yesterday morning at a local hospital. He was a native and life-long resident of Norfolk. Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Nellie A. Higgins, of Norfolk and Mrs. J. Ware Jones, of Philadelphia; two brothers, James E. Allen, of Virginia Beach and J.B. Allen, of Washington, D.C. and a cousin, Mrs. Walter Stanworth, of Norfolk. Mr. Allen was a member of Maj. Marshall Tarrall Camp No. 5, Spanish War Veterans and saw service in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. Services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Chaplain William E. Callender, U.S.P.H.S. Hospital, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
