Virginian Pilot May 24, 1906

The remains of Miss Eva Rodman Allen, who died very suddenly in Bluefield, W. 
Va., early Tuesday morning, are expected to arrive in Norfolk this morning and 
will be taken to the home of her uncle, Dr. M.R. Allen, 201 Monticello Avenue.  
The funeral will take place Friday in the Gospel Church, Rev. A.J. Ramsey, the 
pastor, officiating.
The interment will be made in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
The deceased was twenty-five years old and was a daughter of former Mayor L.B. 
Allen, of Berkley, who moved to Bluefield last winter with his family.  Her 
death came as a great shock to her many friends in Berkley and vicinity.
She is survived by her father and step-mother, three sisters and two brothers, 
Mrs. Kendrick, of Bluefield, Mrs. Linwood Wright, of Nansemond County, Va., Miss 
Louise Allen, Norman F. Allen and Seward Allen, of Bluefield.
