NORFOLK - Mrs. Roxie Allen of 824 E. Olney Road, the widow of William Allen and 
a native of Moyock, Currituck County, N.C., died Monday in a hospital.

She was a former member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Ms. Vernice Allen and Mrs. Bessie Jarvis of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Delores Marshall of Mayport, Fla.; six grandchildren; four 
great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church by the 
Rev. Jesse Arrington. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with graves Funeral 
Home in charge. The family will be at her home.
