NORFOLK - James Allen, of the 800 block of B Avenue, a retired dry cleaner 
worker, died April 19, 1987.

Mr. Allen, a Lewisburg, N.C., native, was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church 
and the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie A. Allen; two daughters, Regina McLean of 
Chesapeake and Theresa Allen of Norfolk; two sons, Robert Wilson of Atlanta, and 
James Allen Jr. of Israel; his mother, Maggie A. Coley of Norfolk; 10 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in New Calvary Baptist by the 
Rev. Oliver Welch. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed 
in the church at 11 a.m. by Graves Funeral Home. The family will meet at the 
residence.
