Norfolk - Ellen A. "Ella" Aloisio, 93, quietly passed on Dec. 2, 2001, at her 
residence.  Born in New York City on Feb. 24, 1908, she was the daughter of the 
late Carlos and Catherine Farley Aloisio.
She retired from C&P Telephone Co. in 1963, after 36 years of service.  A 
Catholic, she was a faithful volunteer or "Pink Lady" at DePaul Hospital until 
September, 2001.  She didn't begin her DePaul volunteer work until 1991, yet she 
gave more than 8,000 hours of service.  She had been a member of the Telephone 
Pioneers of America and the 60+ Club at Ocean View Senior Center.
Survivors include her sisters, Anna A. Dupree and Kathryn A. Cox, nieces and 
nephews, Carolyn D. Gates, of Satellite Beach, Fla., George W. Cox, of Myrtle 
Beach, S.C., Michael J. Cox, of Norfolk, Paul V. Cox, of Pensacola, Fla., and 
Jean-Mairee C. Vigneault, of Norfolk, and 19 grandnieces and grandnephews.  She 
was predeceased by brothers Carl and Michael and a sister, Frances.  Her life was 
filled with devotion to family and friends.
Family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, today 
from 5 to 7 p.m.  A graveside service will be conducted at St. Mary's Cemetery 
Wednesday at 10 a.m.  The family will gather at the home of Michael and Barbara 
Cox.
Donations in Ellen's name may be made to the 2001 Love Light Tree in care of the 
Auxiliary to DePaul Medical Center, 150 Kingsley Lane, Norfolk, VA. 23505.
