BROOMALL, Pa. - Mrs. Maybelle Kelly Alston of 403 Polk Way, died Friday in a 
hospital.
A native of Worcester, Mass., she was the wife of Dr. Percel O. Alston and a 
daughter of Alonzo Kelly. She received her masters degree from Columbia 
University and taught extensively, including schools in Massachusetts, Japan, 
Ethiopia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. She was a teacher in the Challenge 
Program of Lower Merion School System. 
Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Taitu Davis of San 
Francisco, Calif. and Miss Karen Alston of Dartmouth College; a son, Percel 
Alston, Jr., of the home; five sisters; two brothers; and three grandchildren. 
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Union United Church of Christ by 
the Rev. Joseph M. Copeland. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will 
be at Graves Funeral Home Tuesday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The family will be at 2422 
Ludlow Street, Norfolk.
