Percel O. Alston, a Norfolk native who was secretary for adult education and ministries resources for the United Church of Christ's Board for Homeland Ministries, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Union United Church of Christ, Norfolk. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. The Rev. Alston died Monday in his home. He was 62. Survivors include his wife, Virgie Alston; two daughters, Karen Alston of Madison, Wis., and Taiu Davis of Virginia Beach; a son, Percel Alston Jr. of Bowie, Md.; two sisters, Mary E. Lee of Washington, D.C., and Virginia Braswell of Norfolk; five brothers, Robert J. Alston Jr. of Washington, D.C., the Rev. James Alston of Michigan, Stewart Alston and Alvin Alston, both of Norfolk, and Alexander Alston of New York; and three grandchildren.
