The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, June 21, 1984

NORFOLK - Booker T. Alston of 2525 E. Princess Anne Road, a native of Norfolk and
the widower of Bernice Y. Alston, died Wednesday in a hospital.

Mr. Alston was a projectionist at the Granby Mall Cinema. He was a member of St.
John AME Church.

Survivors include three nieces, Audrey Shelton and Hester Chand, both of Goochland,
and Jeanette Powell of Philadelphia.

The funeral will conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Chapel by the Rev.
Walter C. Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will assemble at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
