The Virginian-Pilot, Sunday, March 9, 1969

VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Ella Alston of 664 New Town Road died Saturday in a nursing
home.

A native of Dinwiddie County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Ella Osborne and the widow
of Robert Alston.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and its missionary Circle and a former
choir member. She was a member of United Order of Tents.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eva Smith, and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Coston, both
of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
VIRGINIA BEACH - A funeral service for Mrs.Ella Alston will be held today at 1:30
p.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. C.K. Jones. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
