Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, February 10, 2000 
Esther Alston, 68, of the 2500 block of Barre St., died Feb. 2, 2000. Mrs.
Alston was born in Warrenton, N.C., and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, John Henry Alston Jr.; a daughter, Cheryl D.
Greene; a son, Anthony D. Alston; her father, Raymond Burchette; three sisters,
Essie Mae Burchette, Sara Burchette and Agnes Evans; and grandchildren, Milton
N. Greene IV, Cole Alston, Antonette Alston, Anthony D. Alston Jr. and Nia S.
Greene.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev.
Frank Guns. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
