Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Adeline Alves, who died March 29 in a New 
York hospital, was held Saturday at Graves Funeral Chapel, and burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery Sunday.

Mrs. Alves, a Norfolk native, was the widow of Joseph Alves and a daughter of 
Miles Braye and Mrs. Rose Braye. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Surviving are a brother, George Braye of Wilmington DE; and three sisters, Mrs. 
Alta Perry of Baltimore, Mrs. Irene Davis of New York and Mrs. Lucy Peeden of 
Norfolk.
