Virginian-Pilot January 31, 1925
John A. Anderson, aged 54, died Thursday night at 9:05 o’clock at a local 
hospital. He was a native of Michigan and had lived in Norfolk 15 years. He is 
survived by three sisters, Mrs. Helen Raddy, of New York; Miss Carrie Anderson, of 
West Salem, Wis., and Mrs. Anna Gibbs, of La Crosse, Wis. Services will be held at 
H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, this afternoon at 
2:30 o’clock, the Rev. William E. Callender, chaplain at the U. S. Public Health 
Service Hospital, officiating. Burial will be in “Elks Rest,” Elmwood Cemetery.
