A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a chief in naval intelligence once during World War II. He was associated with Texaco Co. 40 years and was a justice of the peace. He was a member of Ghent United Methodist Church and past chairman of the church board and a member of Ghent men’s Bible Class, Men’s Club of the Church, and Elks Club 38. Surviving, besides his wife, are a daughter, Miss Alice Lee Anderson of Norfolk; and two sisters, Mrs. J. Malcolm Firth of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Walter P. Lloyd of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 2 p.m. by Dr. Beverly Felty. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
