Norfolk - Lydia Anderson of 2329 Hanson Ave., the widow of Lester Anderson 
and a native of Roxboro, NC, died Friday in a hospital.

She was a retired domestic employee and a member of St. Mark Chapel Baptist 
Church, where she was a deaconess and member of the Missionary Club.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mae Ola Jones of Norfolk;  a brother, 
Artis Brooks of New York City;  two grandchildren;  and nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in St. Mark Chapel Baptist by the 
Rev.  C. W. Tyson.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral 
Home in charge.  The body will be in church at noon today;  the family will 
be at 2321 Hanson Ave.
