NORFOLK - Betty Lee Anderson, 51, of 1007 W. 35th St., a native of Merry Hill, N.C.,
and the wife of Mitchell A. Anderson Sr., died Friday in a hospital. She was a
daughter of Alice Wilson Burke.

She was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Deidre Anne Anderson of Windsor, N.C.; two sons,
Barry D. Anderson of Merry Hill and Mitchell A. Anderson Jr. of Junction City, Kan.;
seven sisters, Lucille C. Sanderlin of Windsor, N.C., Marva C. Robbins of
Powellsville, N.C., Doris J. Burke of Merry Hill, Barbara J. Rawls of of Newark,
N.J., and Cora Foster of Philadelphia; and two brothers, John Lester Cofield II of
Edenton, N.C., and Lemuel Burke of Windsor, N.C.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Rose of Sharon Baptist Church by
the Rev. Hiram White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, with Jones
Funeral Home in charge.
