NORFOLK - Mrs. Carrie Beverly Anderson, 90, of 3542 Tennessee Ave. died Saturday
morning in a hospital.

A native of Hertford County, N.C., she was a daughter of Dennis and Mrs. Amelia
Yates Beverly and the widow of Gurney C. Anderson.

She was a member of Metropolitan AMEZ Church, Willing Workers Club, and Stewardess
Board.

She was also a member of Naomi Chapter 542, Household of Ruth, and Federated Woman's
Clubs.

She is survived by two sons, Cleveland G. Anderson and Leon J. Anderson of
Washington; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Watson and Mrs. Bernice Dickinson of
Washington and Mrs. Adelle Staten of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Vann of
Winton, N.C. and Mrs. Nettie Clerk of Norfolk; five grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service.
