Injuries in Fall Fatal to Worker

NORFOLK - Raymond Anderson, 57, of 726 Brambleton Ave., died Thursday morning in 
a Norfolk hospital of injuries sustained Wednesday when he fell 14 feet through 
a skylight hole at the new S.J. Clarke Junior High School on Airline Turnpike, 
Portsmouth.

A native of New Bern, N.C., he was a member of the I.B.P. Order of Elks of 
Norfolk, and of the Star Zion Missionary Baptist Church of New Bern.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Anderson; one son, Raymond Anderson Jr.; one 
stepson, Frank Stokes; one stepdaughter, Barbara Stokes, and one brother, Ossie 
Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the Morning Glory 
Funeral Home by the Rev. J.Q.A. Lassiter, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. 
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
