February 5, 1917 Virginian Pilot
J. S. B. Anderson aged 78 years, died yesterday at 1:30 p.m. at the residence, 
723 Boissevaine Ave. He had been in failing health for several years. A native 
of Glasgow, Scotland, he had lived here more than forty years. Besides his 
wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. A. Marable, Mrs. L. S. Grove 
and Miss Blanche Anderson, all of Norfolk. The funeral will take place at the 
residence Tuesday at 3 p.m., and will be conducted by Rev. S. N. Hutchison of 
First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
