Mrs. Lavinia Anderson, who succumbed Sunday, April 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the St.
Vincent Hospital, after an illness of 10 days, was the wife of Jerry C.
Anderson, the well known manager of the Southland Singers, and chorister of the
First Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 23, from Garrett's Temple Community
Church, conducted by Rev. O. J. Allen, pastor of the First Calvary Baptist
Church, and the Rev. B. B. Evans, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church.

Special musical numbers were rendered by the choir of the First Calvary Church
and the Southland Singers. Solos were given by Mrs. Hattie Jones and Hamilton
James. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery.
