The Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 5, 1938


Mrs. Laura L. Anderson, widow of Rev. H.B. Anderson, died at the residence, 
1409 Debree Avenue, yesterday morning at 9:45 o’clock after a short illness. 
She was a native of Norfolk and had lived here most of her life. She was the 
daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Louisa Drake Dawson. She is survived by 
one sister, Miss Mattie Dawson, of Norfolk, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow morning at 11 
o’clock. The Rev. B. M. Persinger, pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, of which 
she was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
