The Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 6, 1940
Mrs. Sadie Wiseman Anderson, aged 59, widow of Thomas J. Anderson, died at High 
Point, N.C., yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock. She is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. R.W. Halbleib and Miss Lois Anderson, of Norfolk; two sons, 
Harry A. Anderson, of Norfolk, and Carlton T. Anderson, of High Point; three 
sisters, Mrs. Effie Meyerhoffer and Mrs. Carol Steffey, both of Staunton, and 
Mrs. Hassey Henderson, of Huntington, W.VA.; a brother, Edward Wiseman, of 
Staunton, and three grandchildren, Harry Anderson,Jr., Nancy Lee Anderson and 
Delores Raye Halbleib. Mrs. Anderson was a native of Staunton and had been a 
resident of Norfolk 35 years. She was on a visit to her son when she was 
stricken. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Christian Temple. 
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will e in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
