Anderson arrived on yesterday morning by the Baltimore boat, and were met at the wharf by sorrowing relatives and friends. They were taken to the residence of Dr. L.B. Anderson, at No. 174 Bank Street, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Messrs. J.H. Gresham, N. Burruss, C.E. Jenkins, Walter A. Edwards, L. Royster, E.C. Godwin, and T.L. Rogers. The funeral sermon was preached on yesterday evening at the Freemason Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. J.L. Burrows, who delivered an eloquent and feeling discourse to a very large attendance. The remains were subsequently interred in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. A. was a great favorite not only with her intimate acquaintances but with all that knew her, and there is universal regret at her sad death. The floral tributes were symbolic and beautiful and showed the appreciation in which the deceased was held.
