Virginian Pilot May 15, 1900

Joseph Walter, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Anderson, passed away 
at the home of his parents on Tazewell street Saturday night, from an 
affliction of the liver, in the 3d year of his age.  The funeral was held at 5 
o'clock yesterday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. B.D. Tucker, D.D., of 
St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  There was a profusion of beautiful floral 
tributes.  The remains were laid to rest in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Following 
were the pallbearers:  Messrs. Lawrence T. Atkinson, Inman H. Payne, R. 
Mallett, and C.H. Williamson.
