Norfolk Virginian August 2, 1873

DIED FROM HIS INJURIES - We regret to announce that the young man mentioned by 
us as having been seriously hurt by the fall off the roof of Mr. J. D. Couper's 
porch, died yesterday morning at the Hospital of St. Vincent de Paul, whither he 
had been carried. His name was James Anderson, and he was in the employment of 
Mr. Frank Underhill, by whom the work was being done. The injuries he received 
were of a very severe nature, as we stated, and from the first his physicians 
had little hope of his recovery. The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock this 
morning, from St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the deceased will be buried by the 
St. Joseph s Benevolent Society, of which he was a member. The funeral will also 
be attended by the St. Patrick's Beneficial Association, and by the many friends 
of the deceased, and his family.
