Virginian Pilot and The Portsmouth Star June 12, 1955
Mrs. Lucy Rebecca Andrews, 82, died yesterday at her home, 1236 Seaboard Avenue, 
South Norfolk, after a short illness.
A native of Tunis Mills, Md., she had lived in South Norfolk for the last 62 
years.  She lived in Berkley before moving to South Norfolk.  She was the 
daughter of James and Arrena Redman, and the wife of the late Francis Luther 
Andrews.  She was a member of the First Christian Church, Berkley.  
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lucy Rebecca Bland, Mrs. LeRoy Hatch 
and Mrs. Frank M. Dozier, all of South Norfolk.  
The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home in South Norfolk, where 
funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery, Berkley.
