Dorothy McFarlane Andrews, 81, of the 900 block of Donation Drive, died Oct. 
19, 2000, in her residence. 

Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Mary Kathleen and Forrest 
McFarlane, and was the widow of LeRoy J. Andrews Sr. She was retired from the 
First Virginia Bank of Tidewater where she was assistant vice president for 
many years. 

Mrs. Andrews was a graduate of Maury High School and attended the American 
Institute of Bankers. She was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church, where 
she served as an elder, and was a former member advisor to the Junior 
Achievement Program. 

Survivors include three sons, Jeff Andrews Jr. of Virginia Beach, Steven F. 
Andrews of Orange Park, Fla., and Graydon M. Andrews of Norfolk; a brother, 
Forrest McFarlane of Yorktown, Va.; three granddaughters, Jessica Hayes, 
Kathleen Taylor, and Kelley Andrews; and one great-granddaughter, Vanessa 
Taylor, all of Virginia Beach. 

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Bayside Presbyterian 
Church by Dr. Richard J. Keever. Burial will be private in Elmwood Cemetery in 
Norfolk. The family will receive friends on Sunday at 4312 N. Witchduck Road in 
Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to 
Bayside Presbyterian Church, 1400 Ewell Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455.
