ANDRUS, FORMER MEMBER OF POLICE FORCE, DEAD Thurston F. Andrus, a former member of the Norfolk police force, died this morning at 1 o'clock at his residence, 1311 East Ocean View avenue. He retired from the force about 10 years ago. He was 75 years. old. A native of New Orleans, Mr. Andrus had lived in this section for the past 65 years. Besides his wife, Mrs. Marietta Andrus, he is survived by three sons, Earl P. Andrus, William S. Andrus and Raymond F. Andrus, all of Norfolk, the last named two of whom are employes of the Virginian-Pilot; two daughters, Mrs. T.W. Cramer and Mrs. C.H. Dudley, both of this city; two brothers, Earl Andrus, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Eli Andrus, of New Orleans; one stepsister, Miss Mary Graham, of New Orleans, and four grandchildren. Notice of the funeral will be given later.
