Chesapeake - Samuel Joseph Annunziata, Jr., 62, passed away on March 4, 2016, 
surrounded by his family and friends. He was born January 28, 1954, in Norfolk, 
Virginia. Sam was the second son of the late Samuel, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Russo 
Annunziata.
Sam was a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School and Old Dominion University. 
Sam worked at Xerox, formerly Towers Perrin, as a benefits administrator for 16 
years.
Left to cherish his memory, he is survived by his brothers, Frank and sister-in-
law Ellen, Paul and sister-in-law, Lisa, and his sister, Janet Annunziata Farling, 
and brother-in-law Terry Farling. His beloved nieces and nephew, Laura Annunziata, 
Katie Annunziata O'Neal (Nathan), Bethany Annunziata Swegan (Clair), Erin Farling 
Keech (David), Corey Farling, Bill Annunziata and Bridget Annunziata, great-
nephews Nolan & Graham Keech and great-niece Olivia O'Neal.
Family was paramount to Sam. He was a favorite among many cousins, surrogate uncle 
to many, godfather and friend. His co-workers were a tremendous source of support 
and friendship during his extended illness. He loved ODU football, tailgating and 
basketball.
Family will receive friends on March 10, 2016, at 12:00 at H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apts., 1501 Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, Va. A celebration memorial service will 
begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery 3000 Church St., 
Norfolk, Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research 
Hospital.
