Ansell, 67, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., died Jan. 10, 1999. He was born in Knotts Island, N.C., and was a retired tug boat captain and member of South Norfolk Moose Lodge No. 464. He was a Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Lillian M. Brickhouse Ansell; two daughters, Patricia Jordal and Janie C. White, both of Chesapeake; five sons, Elton L. Hudgins, Glenn E. Hudgins and Stanley W. Ansell, all of Chesapeake, James A. Hudgins of Poplar Branch, N.C., and Arthur E. Hudgins of High Point, N.C.; three sisters; three brothers; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. James Dunn. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel.
