The Norfolk Virginian Pilot June 17, 1955
William Barnard Anselm, husband of Mrs. Blanche Gale Anselm, died at the 
residence, 1444 Westover Avenue Wednesday at 10 p.m.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William O. Sherman, Jr., of 
Norfolk; his mother, Mrs. Irving Mohler, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. 
Edward Marriott, of Cleveland, Ohio, and a grandson, William O. Sherman, III, 
of Norfolk.
Mr. Anselm was a native of Cleveland and had been a resident of Norfolk for 35 
years.  He was a member of the Elyria, Ohio, Methodist Church, a veteran of 
World War I, serving in the Marine Corps., and a member of Bernard Hines 
Chapter, Disabled American War Veterans.  He attended the Case School of 
Applied Science in Cleveland and for 25 years had been employed as a civil 
engineer at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
