                 DEATH BEAT JUSTICE IN "OLD MAG'S" LAST CASE

When the case against Maggie Autler, a white woman, 62 years of age, was called 
in police court yesterday from the continued docket, announcement was made that 
the unfortunate woman was dead. She passed away in the hospital ward at the city 
jail early last week. The woman was sent to the hospital to recuperate from a 
heavy drinking spree in which she had just indulged. If she had any relatives in 
Norfolk they are not known. The woman had a long police record. At different 
times she has been a charge upon the local missions and other charitable 
organizations.
