Norfolk - Floyd D. Anthony, local building contractor, died Oct. 27 at a local
hospital after several weeks’ illness.

Mr. Anthony, a native of Scotland Neck, NC, resided at 735 Smith street, and had
lived in Norfolk for several years.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 5, at New Calvary Baptist Church with
the Rev. Lawrence J. Smith officiating, assisted by the Revs. James Parker and
Carl White.

Mr. Anthony is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mamie Anthony; five sons, Floyd Jr.,
McCoy, Luther, Lionel and Frederick; four daughters, Mrs. Ernestine Harrison;
Misses Rebecca, Margaret and Doris Rose Anthony.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with the Taylor Funeral Home arranging.
