Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, July 14, 1992 
Lily B. Anthony, of the 2700 block of McKann Ave., a retired processor, died
July 12, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Anthony was born in Edenton. She had retired from General Electric after 23
years. She was the widow of Roy L. Anthony and was a member of St. Paul C.M.E.
Church. She was also a member of the church's Stewardess Board and the Mamie
Hamlin Missionary Society. She was a member of the Ebonetts Social Club, the
Brambleton Avenue Recreation Center Sewing Club and the Brambleton Avenue Senior
Citizens Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Abbott of Suitland, Md., and Lesha
Anthony-Harold of Norfolk; a son, Roy C. Anthony of Chesapeake; four sisters,
Odessa Darden and Vessie Jones, both of Norfolk, Yvonne Minor of Portsmouth and
Catherine Williams of Virginia Beach; a brother, Charles Hamlin of Edenton; and
two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul C.M.E. Church by
the Rev. T.R. McKenny. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is
handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
