CHICAGO - Oliver Wendell Anthony of 7033 S. Indiana Ave., a native of Norfolk, Va.,
died Monday in a hospital.

He was employed at Acorn Corrugated Box Co. He was a member of Martin Temple AME
Church.

Survivors include his mother, Katie Anthony of Norfolk; two daughters, Dana Anthony
of Chesapeake, Va., and Brookie Summers of Boston; a son, Oliver W. Anthony Jr. of
New York; six sisters, Deloris A. DeLoatch, Rebecca A. Archer, Doris R. McMillon,
Margaret D. White and Ernestine Harrison, all of Norfolk, and Loretta Weber of
Chicago; six brothers, Floyd Anthony, Luther Anthony, McCoy Anthony and Elder Lionel
Anthony, all of Norfolk; and a grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bethlehem Baptist Church, Norfolk,
by the Rev. L.P. Watson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will be at his mother's home, 1305 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Riddick Funeral Chapel. A wake
will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
