She was the widow of Cosmero Aquatero and a daughter of Ambrose and Mrs. Marie Cecelia Bruzzi Poggi. She was a native of Genoa, Italy, and had been a resident of the United States since 1880. She had made her home in Norfolk 33 years. Surviving are four granddaughters and six grandsons, including Miss Anna Simiele, of Lancaster, Ohio, and Edward A. Simiele, of Lynnhaven. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. AQUATERO, MRS. JOSEPHINE Of 227 West 29th Street, at a local hospital, Thursday morning, March 9, 1950, at 7:30 o'clock, Mrs. Josephine Poggi Aquatero, widow of Cosmero Aquatero and daughter of the late Ambrose and Mrs. Marie Cecelia Bruzzi Poggi, died, aged 86 years. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover Avenue, corner Manteo Street, tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
