He was a native of New York City and had been a resident of Norfolk for 12 years. He was a son of Mrs. Josephine Poggi Aquatero, of Norfolk, and the late Casmero Aquatero. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 36, and veteran of the Spanish- American and World Wars. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Stauch Aquatero, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a son, Francis Aquatero, of Brooklyn; a sister, Mrs. J. Simiele, of Norfolk, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover Avenue at Manteo Street, pending completion of funeral arrangements. Anthony (Tony) Gilles Aquatero. Funeral services for Mr. Aquatero, who died suddenly Monday morning, will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Francis Bambrick, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. Mr. Aquatero is survived by his mother, Mrs. Josephine Poggi Aquatero, of Norfolk; his wife, Mrs. Marie Strauch Aquatero, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a son, Francis Aquatero, of Brooklyn; a sister, Mrs. J. Simiele, of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews.
