A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of James K. and Mrs. Sarah Hozier and a widow of Fletcher Wellons Archer. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leroy L. Gooding of Portsmouth and Mrs. W.H. Howard of Cleveland; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in Graham Funeral Home Friday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. William A. Cousins of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church and the Rev. W.G. Winston of Miles Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
