Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, June 10, 1992 
Richard B. Archer of the 2800 block of Marlboro Ave., died June 7, 1992, in a
hospital.

Mr. Archer was born in Norfolk. He had owned the Chicken Shack Restaurant and
had retired after 35 years. He was a member of Greater Norfolk Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca A. Archer; an adopted daughter, Doris
McMillon of Chesapeake; two sisters, Ella A. Saunders and Cleo Z. Archer, and a
brother, James P. Archer, all of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in New Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. G.G. Campbell Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join
the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in Hale Funeral Home. The body will be placed
in church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
